This policy explains what information Social Care Works collects when you use this website, why we collect it, and what control you have over it.
This website is run by Social Care Works Limited, a company registered in England and Wales, company number 10679940. We are the data controller for the information described here.

We collect your name, your email address and whatever you choose to write in the message. We use it only to reply to you and, if we go on to work together, to carry out that work. We do not add you to a mailing list, and we do not sell or share it for marketing.
Our lawful basis is legitimate interests — you have asked us to get in touch, and replying is the obvious thing to do with that request.
If you email us, we hold that correspondence in our business email account. If you call, we see your phone number unless you have withheld it, and you may leave a voicemail. We do not record or transcribe calls.
We measure how the site is used so we can improve it. That is covered in the cookies section below.
A cookie is a small file a website stores in your browser. We use as few as we can, and you decide about the optional ones.
These are required for the site to work and to remember your cookie choices. They do not need your consent, because without them the site cannot function.
Set by Google Analytics to measure visits and help us understand what is useful. These are only set if you choose “Accept all”, or switch Analytics on in the cookie preference centre. You can change your mind at any time. Google Analytics is provided by Google Ireland Limited.
Until you consent, Google Analytics runs in a cookieless mode: it counts the visit but stores nothing in your browser and cannot recognise you on a return visit.
We run a privacy-friendly visit counter (AnalyticsWP) on our own website. It uses a random identifier to count visits. The data stays on our own server, is never shared with anyone else, and cannot identify you — no profile is built about you. UK law does not require consent for statistics collected this way, but you can switch it off at any time under “Site statistics” in the cookie preference centre.
We keep a small cookie (bare_src) that remembers which channel first brought you to the site — for example a search engine, a social post, an email or an AI assistant. When someone taps our phone number, this tells us which of our marketing is actually working. It holds no personal details and lasts 90 days. It runs on the same first-party statistical basis as site statistics, and the “Site statistics” toggle switches it off and deletes it.
Our website is hosted by GoDaddy, whose platform sets a small number of its own cookies (currently _tccl_visitor, _tccl_visit and _scc_session) to keep the site running and to measure platform performance. These are set by the hosting platform rather than by us, they are not controlled by the cookie preference centre on this site, and we do not use them for marketing. You can block or delete them in your browser settings.
We do not run advertising pixels on this website, and no advertising cookies are set.
The cookie icon at the bottom-left of every page reopens the preference centre at any time, so you can change or withdraw your choices whenever you like. Refusing is as easy as accepting. You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings, though parts of the site may then behave oddly.
We do not sell your information. We use a small number of service providers who process it on our behalf:

Contact form submissions and correspondence are kept for as long as we may reasonably need them for the enquiry or the work that follows, and are reviewed periodically. Site statistics are retained in aggregate. The anonymous record of cookie choices described below is deleted after 24 months.
When you make a cookie choice we store an anonymous record of it: a random reference, the date, the version of this policy, and which categories you allowed. It contains no IP address, no browser fingerprint and nothing personal. The same reference is kept in your browser, so if you ever ask us “what did I agree to?”, you can quote it and we can find the record.
Some of the providers above operate outside the UK. Where information is transferred abroad, it is protected by the safeguards those providers have in place, such as the UK International Data Transfer Agreement or the UK extension to the EU–US Data Privacy Framework.
Under UK data protection law you have the right to ask us for a copy of the information we hold about you, to have it corrected or deleted, to object to or restrict how we use it, and to withdraw consent where we rely on it. Email s.livadeas@socialcareworks.org.uk and we will respond within one month.
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113. We would appreciate the chance to put things right first.
If we start collecting something new, we will update this policy and ask for your cookie choices again rather than relying on a decision you made about something you were never shown.
